Threatening remarks toward Turkey from terrorist Cemil Bayık! 'If these steps are not taken...'

Following the symbolic 'ceremony' where a group of PKK terrorists laid down their arms as part of the new resolution process—architected by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli and dubbed 'Terror-Free Turkey' by the government—all eyes are now on the commission to be established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) and, in particular, the 'legal steps' voiced by the DEM Party, an alliance partner in the process.

Meanwhile, public debate continues regarding the transparency of the process. AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan maintains that no bargaining has taken place during this process.

Although AKP figures argue that the process is progressing 'positively,' the statements made by Cemil Bayık, the so-called co-chair of the executive council of the terrorist organization KCK, have caused confusion.

Bayık's scandalous remarks, which bordered on threats during an interview with the Yeni Yaşam newspaper and the organization's media outlet ANF, have drawn backlash.

'THE STYLE WE FOLLOW IS A STYLE THAT FORCES TURKEY TO TAKE STEPS'

As reported by Cumhuriyet, terrorist Bayık stated regarding Turkey: "Our struggle has brought them to such a point that they have started to experience existential problems. With the developments in the Middle East, the nation-state has now gone bankrupt. If they do not reach an agreement with the Kurds, it will be a great danger for them. The style we follow is a style that forces Turkey to take steps. Either they will take steps, or it will end in another way. There is no other way."

'WE DID NOT TAKE THESE STEPS THIS WAY'

Criticizing the definition of 'Terror-Free Turkey,' terrorist Bayık said, "Now, the PKK is not a movement that is being defeated; on the contrary, it is a movement that is increasingly developing and gaining international status." Claiming that the government is creating a perception through the definition of a Terror-Free Turkey, Bayık noted the following:

"The AKP-dominated government is creating a perception that 'we are carrying out the process as planned without any disruptions.' The public needs to know this very well: All the steps taken so far were taken and developed by Leader Apo (terrorist ringleader Abdullah Öcalan) through his individual initiative. No one told us to 'dissolve the PKK, stop the armed struggle.' We did not take these steps that way. We took these steps by taking into account the situation in Turkey and the developments in the Middle East. There has been no naming of it so far. There is 'Terror-Free Turkey.' What does it mean? It means 'the PKK is terrorist, we are eliminating terrorism.' The issue is not the PKK's disarmament; the issue is the Kurdish question. It is the resolution of the Kurdish question. If the PKK has carried out an armed struggle, the policy pursued by the Turkish state is responsible for it."

DISARMAMENT PROCESS: 'I LAUGHED, OF COURSE...'

It was noted that the burning of weapons by a group of PKK terrorists on July 11 marked the beginning of a disarmament process that would be completed by 2026.

Addressing this issue, terrorist Bayık responded to the question, "Do you say that the burning of weapons by a group of 30 people is the final stage?" by saying: "The unilateral steps we were to take are finished; what remains is for the government and the state to take steps. We are now waiting for this."

Pointing out that reports in the press that "another group will lay down their arms" do not "correspond to reality," terrorist Bayık said: "I heard it on NTV the other day, too. Now they will lay them down in Hewlêr (Erbil), then they will lay them down in Duhok. I heard it on Wednesday. I laughed, of course... This is an attempt to create perception and pressure. We can neither succumb to such pressures nor act according to the perceptions they create. From now on, if steps are taken that serve the steps we have taken, we will take steps. But if they do not take these steps and make impositions, we will not accept those impositions. Everyone should know this."

Responding to questions about the steps they expect from the state, terrorist Bayık referred to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's remark that "a bird cannot fly with one wing," stating: "Now there is a bird in front of us that doesn't even have feet or hands, so to speak. This bird cannot be told to fly. That is why we are developing the process out of the responsibility we feel toward the peoples. Leader Apo has always taken steps tied to his goal. He creates opportunities and possibilities with his own style. With the style he created, he forces the other side to take steps and makes them accept it. He wanted the movement to structure itself and work on a democratic basis. Now he has seen that this can happen. Because Turkey is now very cornered; the policy it has been pursuing has gone bankrupt."
