Tv100 had terminated his contract: Nevşin Mengü makes a bombshell claim about İsmail Küçükkaya

Journalist İsmail Küçükkaya, who had long hosted the 'Yeni Bir Sabah' program on Halk TV, parted ways with the organization last September.

After leaving Halk TV, Küçükkaya signed with Tv100 and began hosting the 'Yeni Gün' program starting September 29.

The experienced broadcaster's first guest on his new channel was CHP leader Özgür Özel.

The veteran broadcaster's journey at Tv100 lasted only 11 days. The channel's management decided to cancel both the 'Yeni Gün' program hosted by İsmail Küçükkaya and the 'Para Manşet' program prepared by Ebru Baki. They parted ways with both Küçükkaya and Baki.

Journalist Nevşin Mengü explained the background behind the Tv100 management's decision regarding İsmail Küçükkaya. Speaking on her own YouTube channel, Mengü stated the following:

“İsmail Küçükkaya was removed from the channel after the channel management said, ‘these topics will get us into trouble,’ following his guest Mustafa Balbay reading a letter from Ekrem İmamoğlu on his program. His 3-year contract was paid out (Mengü later clarified on her social media account that the contract in question was for 1 year).

But for us journalists, work brings more work, and regardless of whether he gets paid, İsmail Küçükkaya must be upset.

He wouldn't want to be in such a position, but his guest when he first started broadcasting was already CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

I was honestly surprised; the CHP is probably thinking from its own perspective: Halk TV is our own voter base, Sözcü TV is our own voter base, the ranks are tightened there.

They are likely wondering if they can reach more centrist voters through outlets like Ekol TV or Tv100. The opposition specifically wants to make its voice heard through these channels.”
