Veyis Ateş breaks his silence... Look what Mehmet Akif Ersoy did in prison!

In the drug investigation targeting Habertürk conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, eyes have turned back to Veyis Ateş after Mehmet Akif Ersoy claimed in an additional statement that former Habertürk manager Veyis Ateş had introduced him to drugs.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy, one of the key figures in the investigation, had emphasized Ateş's role in his introduction to drugs in a statement he gave last month. Following these allegations, Ateş was taken into custody and arrested.

RESPONDED TO SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS

Veyis Ateş, who was placed in Silivri F-Type Prison, spoke for the first time through his lawyers after maintaining his silence for a long time.

Ateş denied Ersoy's allegations, stating, "I did not understand why he accused me. I have not used drugs, and I have no such involvement."

Stating that the accusations are baseless, Veyis Ateş said, "I have no connection to drugs. I do not have any deep involvement either. I do not want to believe such allegations."

ERSOY'S "HEART GESTURE" IN PRISON

Veyis Ateş also shared a memory of an encounter with Mehmet Akif Ersoy in prison. Ateş claimed that during their encounter while in different cabins at the prison, Ersoy made a "heart gesture" at him.

Ateş said, "After saying so many things about me, after accusing me, he made a heart gesture at me from the opposite cabin on the day I was brought to prison. I didn't understand why he did such a thing. I didn't make any gesture back to him."

The investigation continues following Veyis Ateş's statements. The process, which began with Mehmet Akif Ersoy's statement, continues to expand with the questioning of other suspect names. Judicial authorities are investigating allegations of drug use and connections to criminal organizations.
