Months after the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) delegation visited İmralı, a remarkable claim has come to the fore.

According to information reported by Türkiye Gazetesi columnist Nur Tuğba Aktay, it is alleged that PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan requested that a photograph be taken during the meeting, and that this request was not accepted by the MHP's Feti Yıldız.

According to the claim, the commission members, consisting of Hüseyin Yayman from the AKP, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız, and Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit from the DEM Party, held a meeting at İmralı within the framework of the resolution process and counter-terrorism topics. It was stated that the meeting began in line with the determined agenda.

According to the information provided, during the meeting, Abdullah Öcalan requested that the contact be recorded with a photograph. However, it is alleged that this request was rejected by MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız, who was present at the meeting.

According to the claim, Feti Yıldız opposed the taking of a photograph, stating, “There will be no photo, the meeting is over.”

It is alleged that following these words, the meeting was terminated and the contact did not continue.
