New details are emerging regarding how Yaşama Tutunan Patiler Association President Buket Özgünlü Boyacı acquired wealth through the donations she collected and her scandalous actions concerning animals.
A lawsuit was filed against Boyacı, seeking up to 4 years in prison for "acting contrary to measures regarding infectious diseases" and "torturing a owned animal" after she transported 29 dogs, alleged to have rabies, from Siverek, Şanlıurfa, to Ankara in 2024.
Furthermore, a MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) report revealed that Boyacı used donations collected in the name of the association for personal gain.
It was determined that Boyacı, who spent 1 million 110 thousand TL between 2021 and 2024 on 7 aesthetic procedures and various beauty sessions, also placed bets on horse racing.
The reports also indicated that Boyacı owns 9 apartments and 2 warehouses.
Within the scope of the investigation, 6 suspects were arrested as a result of operations launched against 19 people connected to Boyacı and the association.
Examinations revealed that Boyacı and other suspects obtained approximately 20 million liras in illicit gains through donations collected in the name of the association.
