The commission has begun its work to contribute to the counter-terrorism process. It was stated that the legal process will begin and the commission's activities will accelerate in November. However, the most discussed topic has been whether the commission will meet with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The commission plans to hold three listening meetings in October. During these meetings, discussions will be held regarding counter-terrorism and the resolution process. In November, work on the legal process is expected to officially begin.

One of the most curious aspects of the commission is whether a meeting will be held with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi, a meeting with Abdullah Öcalan is not on the agenda for the time being.

Sources state that such a meeting could take place if a new statement is required from Öcalan. However, it is stated that under current circumstances, the commission does not feel the need for a meeting with Öcalan.
