Yeni Şafak shared it first, then deleted it: Uncertainty in pro-government media regarding PKK

Yeni Şafak, a newspaper affiliated with the Albayrak Media Group and known for its proximity to the government, published a report claiming that 20 PKK members had surrendered in Iraq as part of the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process. However, this report was removed from the website shortly after without any explanation.

The report, which appeared on the newspaper's website under the headline 'PKK's disarmament process has begun: A critical development on the path to a Terror-Free Turkey', stated that the PKK's decision to lay down arms was progressing with concrete steps on the ground.

The report stated that this development, which indicated that the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process led by President Erdoğan had officially begun, was solidified by the surrender of a 20-person group affiliated with the organization in Iraq.

Furthermore, it was emphasized that the organization is expected to completely lay down its arms within the next 10 days.

Claims that the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan had called for the organization to decide to dissolve itself and initiate a disarmament process were also on the agenda. However, the details regarding these developments have not yet gained clarity.
