Garanti BBVA issues statement regarding system outage
Garanti BBVA has announced that the system outage experienced during the day was caused by a technical glitch.
The announcement made on the bank's website included the following statements:
"As Garanti BBVA, the outage experienced in our systems is due to a technical glitch and does not involve any cyberattack or data security risk.
All your assets and personal data held by our bank continue to be protected with high security standards.
Our team members at all our branches continue to provide service so that you can carry out your transactions without interruption.
Our relevant departments are working intensively to resolve the issue completely as soon as possible. We thank you for your understanding."
