Germany issued an 'urgent arrest message': Internationally wanted drug baron captured in Istanbul

Daniel Sobotta, who was wanted internationally for "Drug Trafficking" via a Diffusion Message (Urgent Arrest Message) issued by Germany, was captured in the Şişli district of Istanbul during the KUYU-39 operation.

Sharing details regarding the operation, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated the following:

“Through international cooperation and the coordination, perseverance, and determined stance of our security forces, we are capturing individuals wanted with red diffusion messages one by one.

As a result of joint efforts by the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Division and the Smuggling and Border Gates Branch, coordinated by the Interpol-Europol Department and the Presidency of Migration Management; it was determined that Daniel Sobotta communicated with other individuals via a communication application using encrypted mobile phones and generated large profits by selling various narcotic substances. He was captured in the Şişli district of Istanbul.”
