Get well soon message from Ekrem İmamoğlu to Canan Dağdeviren! 'Your path is long, your excitement is high'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu conveyed his get-well-soon wishes to Prof. Dr. Canan Dağdeviren, who has entered the recovery process following a brain hemorrhage, in a post on his social media account. In his message, İmamoğlu stated the following:

"Dear Professor Canan Dağdeviren, I learned that you suffered a brain hemorrhage and that you have overcome difficult days following days of intensive care. I send my love from Silivri Prison with the wish that you make a full recovery. I hope you return to your scientific work quickly.

You are a source of inspiration for many young people in Turkey.

Your path is long, your excitement is high, and you have your youth!"

Sevgili Canan Dağdeviren hocam, beyin kanaması geçirdiğini, günlerce süren yoğun bakımın ardından zorlu günleri atlattığını öğrendim. Tamamen sağlığına kavuşman dileğimle Silivri Cezaevi’nden sevgilerimi iletiyorum. Umarım hızlıca bilimsel çalışmalarına dönersin.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Scientist Dağdeviren had remained in intensive care for 12 days following the brain hemorrhage she suffered on June 9. 

Subsequently describing her survival as a "miracle," Dağdeviren had referenced the detained IMM Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, stating, "My path is long, my excitement is high, and I have my youth!"
