Gezici Research releases Adana poll: Zeydan Karalar or Mehmet Fatih Kocaispir?

According to the local election poll conducted across Adana by the Gezici Research Company, CHP candidate and incumbent mayor Zeydan Karalar is at least 4 points ahead of the People's Alliance's AKP candidate, Mehmet Fatih Kocaispir.

The Gezici Research Center has released the results of the poll conducted across Adana between February 24 and February 27, 2024.

The research sample was created and organized to represent the entirety of Adana, taking into account the TUIK 2019 Local and 2023 General Election Results.

The research was conducted with a total of 4,894 participants, representing the voter population aged 18 and over, with approximately half being women. In the study, all data was collected through face-to-face interviews conducted at households. A quota method was used to select the sample, and gender and age quotas were applied to determine the participants to be interviewed.

Participants in the poll were asked the question, "Which party's candidate would you consider voting for in the Adana Metropolitan Municipality mayoral election to be held on March 31, 2024?" The results were as follows:

CHP Candidate Zeydan Karalar: 45.9 percent

AKP and MHP Candidate Mehmet Fatih Kocaispir: 41.3 percent

DEM Party Candidates: Şehriban Defişat and Mahfuz Güleryüz: 5.9 percent

İYİ Party Candidate Ayyüce Türkeş: 5.3 percent

Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) Candidate Umut Yanar: 0.7 percent

New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) Candidate Selahattin Baysal: 0.3 percent

Homeland Party (Memleket Partisi) Candidate Ethem Eke: 0.2 percent

Labor Party (Emek Partisi) Candidate Sevil Aracı Bek: 0.2 percent

ZEYDAN KARALAR'S SUCCESS RATE IS 58.7 PERCENT

According to the poll, 58.7 percent of Adana residents view Zeydan Karalar as a successful mayor. It is observed that 22 percent say he is partially successful. When examining the relationship between who they want to vote for in the Adana Metropolitan Municipality election, 16.9 percent of those who vote for the AKP state that they are considering voting for CHP candidate Zeydan Karalar, while 72.3 percent state they are considering voting for the AKP and MHP candidate Fatih Kocaispir. 22 percent of those who vote for the MHP say they will vote for Zeydan Karalar. 96.6 percent of those who vote for the CHP state that they are considering voting for CHP candidate Zeydan Karalar.
