Giant waterspout causes panic in İzmir: Captured on camera
A giant waterspout that formed off the coast of the Foça district in İzmir was captured on video by citizens using their mobile phones.
The Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) issued a yellow alert for 45 provinces, warning of heavy rainfall and storms, and İzmir was also affected by the downpour in the early hours of the morning.
While overcast weather and intermittent light rain continued in the city, a giant waterspout was seen forming off the coast of Foça's Yenifoça neighborhood this morning.
The waterspout, which was filmed by citizens on their mobile phones, disappeared after a while without reaching the shore.
