Making a statement on his social media account, Köse said that he underwent an angiography at another hospital after being transferred from the hospital he initially went to with a suspected heart attack.

Stating that his treatment is continuing in the intensive care unit there, Mayor Köse also provided information regarding his health status.

The following statements were included in the announcement made on Fuat Köse's official social media account:

"Following the initial intervention at the private hospital I went to this afternoon with a suspected heart attack, I was transferred to another private hospital and an angiography procedure was performed.

A stent was inserted during the angiography procedure, and I am currently in the intensive care unit as a precaution.

My general health is good; I can say this with peace of mind to everyone who is concerned.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all my friends who have been by my side, called, or sent messages during this process; to the precious people of Giresun who have kept me in their prayers; and to our valuable doctors and healthcare workers who have contributed to my care.

I will be back in the field as soon as possible to serve our Giresun together with my colleagues.
