The incident occurred on Saturday, September 5, around 17:00 in the Nurtepe neighborhood of Kağıthane. Unable to reach Kılıç, Özlem E. entered the house using a spare key she had. Finding Kılıç motionless in an armchair in the living room, Özlem E. first notified the actor's sister, Sinem Kılıç, and then the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. Medical personnel determined that Kılıç had passed away. Following the investigation at the scene, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death.

According to the statement that entered the investigation file, Özlem E. said that she and Kılıç had been together for about 8 years. Özlem E. explained that she learned on September 3 that Kılıç did not go to a set shoot, and when they spoke on the phone, the actor said he did not feel well due to a cervical disc herniation.

Özlem E. stated that Kılıç said his pain was not subsiding, that he was taking many medications, and that he was "suffering a lot." Stating that Kılıç called her again later that same day, Özlem E. relayed that the actor said he had been fired from his job due to an issue on set, that he was upset because of this, and that he did not want to speak with anyone.

Stating that she tried to reach Kılıç by phone and message after this conversation but received no response, Özlem E. said she did not insist too much, thinking that the actor wanted to be alone and that the medications he was using might make him sleepy. She explained that she went to Kılıç's house on September 5 when she realized his phone was turned off.

Özlem E. stated that when she entered the house, she initially thought Kılıç was sleeping, but when she called out to him and shook his arm, she realized his skin was cold and he was not responding. She noted that she then notified his relatives and medical teams.

In her statement, noting that she knew Kılıç had high blood pressure, gastritis, and cervical disc herniation, Özlem E. said the actor had a prescription medication for his cervical disc herniation, blood pressure medication, and other daily medications. Özlem E. stated that she did not remember the names of the medications, that she did not know of any substance or alcohol addiction Kılıç might have had, and that she had no information about when or how the death occurred.
