Gold and cash shower at BRSA Vice President's wedding: Süleyman Soylu was also in attendance

Mustafa Aydın, Vice President of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), invited executives from banks and other private financial institutions to his wedding, which took place on September 19 at the 5-star Radisson Blu Hotel in Şişli, Istanbul.

According to BirGün newspaper columnist Timur Soykan, executives from companies under the agency's supervision decided to attend the wedding and held meetings to determine the gifts to be presented to the BRSA Vice President. It is alleged that bank general managers set gift budgets ranging from 150,000 TL to 350,000 TL.

In his column, Soykan stated, "I had heard about these wedding invitations beforehand. I went to the Radisson Blu Hotel as an uninvited guest," and provided the following details:

"(...) From the elevator exits onwards, the large lobby was covered with nearly 100 floral wreaths. Almost all banks, factoring companies, payment institutions, and asset management companies had sent wreaths. Around 19:00, the lobby filled with a crowd. The executives of the financial world had arrived at the wedding in full force.

The wedding witnesses were invited: Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and MHP Istanbul Deputy Celal Adan, BRSA President Şahap Kavcıoğlu, MHP Deputy Chairman and Istanbul Deputy İsmail Faruk Aksu, MHP Deputy Secretary General and İzmir Deputy Zafer Osman Ağaoğlu, MHP Central Executive Committee member and Antalya Deputy Abdurrahman Başkan, MHP Niğde Deputy Cumali İnce, Banks Association of Turkey Chairman Alparslan Çakar, Information and Communication Technologies Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, and MHP Chief Advisor to the Chairman Ruhi Ersoy. The wedding was officiated by MHP Kırklareli Mayor Derya Bulut.

A queue formed in front of the wedding stage for the gift-giving ceremony. The ceremony lasted for hours; no one danced, and there was no entertainment.

Executives of the financial companies that the groom is responsible for supervising on behalf of the public lined up to the end of the hall. After congratulating the bride and groom, bank general managers, owners of financial companies, and executives dropped their gifts into boxes marked 'N and M' and into bags opened on both sides. It was noted that some guests were holding large envelopes.
