İslam Memiş, who is a guest on many channels and provides economic investment advice on his social media account, was harshly criticized by AKP member Şamil Tayyar with comments suggesting his predictions were not consistent.
Journalist and former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar held İslam Memiş responsible for losses in gold prices and targeted Memiş following the decline.
Sharing a photo of Özgür Özel and İslam Memiş on his social media account, Tayyar stated the following:
"The two losers of the day.
One bankrupted his comrades in the CHP, the other bankrupted gold investors."

TENSE MOMENTS ON LIVE BROADCAST
Following these harsh criticisms, Tayyar had an argument with İslam Memiş, whom he faced on a live broadcast.
The following dialogue took place between Memiş and Tayyar:
İslam Memiş: Am I going to post photos of this and that on Twitter and hold people accountable like an adolescent?
Şamil Tayyar: Don't be rude. Don't deceive this nation. You say 8 thousand TL, it becomes 6 thousand TL, aren't you ashamed of this?
İslam Memiş: Wow, Şamil Tayyar is talking about shame and manners.
Şamil Tayyar: Don't be rude, you shameless man, you are still continuing your immorality. Why are you allowing this man to speak?
İslam Memiş: You are a showman, a showman...
