Good news for Ankara residents from Mansur Yavaş!
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş announced that approval has been granted for new metro projects. He also reported that the entire 6 billion lira debt inherited from the previous administration has been paid off.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş shared with the public through a statement on social media that the new metro lines they plan to implement have been approved.
Emphasizing that the 6 billion lira debt inherited from the previous administration, which had been a burden on the municipal budget when they took office, has been completely paid off, Yavaş announced his projects with the words "May it be auspicious for our Ankara."
6 BILLION LIRA DEBT EQUIVALENT TO THE COST OF A 44.74 KILOMETER LINE
In his statement, Yavaş said, "The tender process for the Dikimevi – Natoyolu Metro Line has been completed. We are starting work on the field very soon after the contract signing. Other approvals have also been received for transportation projects.
The M2 Koru – Yaşamkent – Bağlıca extension line (9.36 km),
The M4 Şehitler – Forum extension line (7.69 km) projects have been approved by the Ministry of Transport.
All official revisions for the M5 Kızılay – Dikmen extension line (15.5 km) project have been completed and it is in the final approval stage.
Furthermore, the entire 6 billion lira debt related to metro deductions that we inherited from previous periods and which was placed on the shoulders of our municipality has been paid. This debt, which has now been paid off, is equivalent to a total of 44.74 kilometers of metro line," he stated.
