Good news for vacationers: Which Greek islands are visa-free has been announced

According to information obtained from the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the application for granting express visas to Turkish citizens to visit certain Aegean islands was launched as of March 30 for the islands of Kos, Lesvos, Rhodes, Samos, and Chios.

The application for the other 5 islands to be included in the program, Leros, Lemnos, Kalymnos, Kastelorizo, and Symi, will be launched soon.

Turkish visitors who wish to benefit from the express visa application must submit the required documents along with the application form to the authorized Greek units. The necessary documents are delivered to the authorized units at the entry points to the island, but it is recommended that the documents be submitted to the travel agencies that organize ferry services between the islands and Turkey before the visit to avoid waiting at the entries.

For each island visit, a visa valid for 1 to 7 days will be issued by the Greek authorities. The express visas obtained for the islands will only be valid for these islands and cannot be used for travel to another region of Greece.

The fee for the visa, which will be valid for only one entry, will be 60 euros.
