Google Meet to offer real-time translation using artificial intelligence
Google has announced that it is adding a real-time speech translation feature to its Meet platform.
The new feature, introduced at the company's I/O 2025 event, is powered by the Gemini artificial intelligence model and enables natural communication between users who speak different languages.
REAL-TIME TRANSLATION
The new system instantly translates the user's speech and delivers it in the other party's preferred language via audio.
This translation does not just translate the words; it also preserves the user's original tone of voice, speaking style, and emotional emphasis, providing a natural translation experience.
