Furkan A. (29) and Mahmud S.R. (24), who fell ill at the “Unreal x Jeton” concert held at the Istanbul Congress Center, lost their lives at the hospitals to which they were taken. It was reported that T.M. (33) remains in critical condition. Police have launched an investigation into the concert, which was attended by approximately 5,000 people.
GOVERNOR GÜL'S STATEMENT ON NARCOTICS
In his statement regarding the incident, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül noted that forensic reports confirmed the three individuals had used different types of narcotics.
Gül stated, “Three of our citizens who went to the concert used different narcotics. These were identified in the forensic medical report. It is a death incident caused by narcotics. The judicial process is ongoing due to the deaths and the injured individual,” he said.
