Governor Gül announces: New Year's Eve measures in Istanbul
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül has made statements regarding the measures to be taken for New Year's Eve.
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül provided information regarding the measures to be taken ahead of New Year's Eve.
Gül announced that the Istanbul Police Department will be on duty on Sunday at 814 locations with 4,313 teams, 3 helicopters, 9 marine vessels, and a total of 55,556 personnel.
"Our Provincial Gendarmerie Command will be on duty with 894 [teams] and 5,996 personnel." Gül stated, adding that the Coast Guard Command will be in the field with one helicopter, 66 marine and land vehicles, and 231 personnel.
Gül continued as follows:
"Our Provincial Health Directorate will continue to serve our Istanbul with 112 emergency teams at 224 stations across Istanbul with 1,157 health personnel. Our Provincial Directorate of Agriculture will conduct inspections, particularly regarding food safety in public entertainment venues and similar places."
Noting that inspections for exorbitant pricing are also continuing, Gül said, "Hopefully, we will spend New Year's Eve peacefully with the efforts of our friends and fellow citizens."
