Istanbul Governor Davut Gül announced that legal action has been taken against 71 individuals who disrupted stadium security and stand order, lit and threw flares onto the pitch, and caused disturbances both inside and outside the stadium during the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe match.
In a post on his social media account, Governor Gül stated the following:
"Legal action has been taken against a total of 71 people who disrupted stadium security and stand order, lit and threw flares onto the pitch, and caused disturbances inside and outside the stadium during the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe match. I would like to remind everyone once again that sports should be experienced in a spirit of sportsmanship, friendship, and fair play, and I want to reiterate that we will resolutely combat any behavior that disrupts peace in stadiums."
