Governors of four provinces changed: Ankara Governor removed from office, successor announced

Appointment decisions were published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Accordingly, while Nevşehir Governor Ali Fidan was appointed as the Director General of Security, changes were made in 4 governorships, including Ankara.

With the new decree published by the Presidency, a change of leadership took place at the General Directorate of Security.

NEVŞEHİR GOVERNOR BECOMES NEW DIRECTOR GENERAL OF SECURITY

Director General of Security Mahmut Demirtaş was reassigned to the Ministry of Interior, while Nevşehir Governor Ali Fidan was appointed to this position. Within the scope of the decree, President of Migration Management Hüseyin Kök was brought to the Governorship of Nevşehir.

The appointment decisions were not limited to the general directorate; the governors of many provinces, including Ankara and Aydın, were changed. Yakup Canbolat was appointed as the Governor of Ankara. With this comprehensive rotation, a new era has begun in the security bureaucracy.

On the other hand, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin was appointed as the President of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye.

Ankara Provincial Police Chief Engin Dinç, Mersin Provincial Police Chief İdris Yılmaz, and Siirt Provincial Police Chief Necmettin Öztürk were reassigned to the General Directorate of Security.
