Governor's Office issues 'extreme heat' warning: 'Do not go out during these hours'
In a written statement issued by the Manisa Governor's Office, it was stated that air temperatures are expected to rise above seasonal norms in the coming days, and it was noted that "citizens need to be careful and take precautions against the heat, and should not go out between 10:00 and 16:00, the hottest hours of the day, unless absolutely necessary."
The Manisa Governor's Office has issued a warning to citizens due to rising air temperatures. In the written statement regarding the matter, it was stated: "In line with meteorological data received from the General Directorate of Meteorology, air temperatures are expected to rise above seasonal norms in the coming days.
The elderly, those with chronic illnesses who use medication regularly, patients with heart, diabetes, and respiratory conditions, pregnant women, and children are most affected by the hot weather, which is trending above normal. Citizens need to be careful and take precautions against the heat, and should not go out between 10:00 and 16:00, the hottest hours of the day, unless absolutely necessary.
Furthermore, it is anticipated that the risk of forest fires will increase in the coming days due to rising air temperatures and increased human activity in and around forest areas.
Considering that forest fires that have occurred in previous years and recent forest fires have been caused by stubble burning, garden cleaning, setting trash on fire, field work, power transmission line failures, picnic and shepherd fires, lightning, arson, negligence, or carelessness, our citizens must show the necessary sensitivity to protect our forest assets, which are our national wealth, in order to prevent these fires."
