Governorships' ban marathon: Protest bans imposed in 7 cities in total
Following bans of 3 days in Bingöl, 4 days in Tunceli, and 1 day in Hakkâri, events such as meetings, press statements, and protest marches have been banned for 1 day across the provinces of Bitlis, Ağrı, Siirt, and Diyarbakır.
All types of open-air meetings, protest marches, sit-in protests, and rallies have been banned for 1 day in Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Siirt, and Ağrı.
In statements issued by the governorships of the 4 provinces, it was stated that certain decisions were taken to prevent attacks, ensure the life and property safety of the public, maintain national security, and protect public order and general health.
VALID ACROSS ALL PROVINCIAL BORDERS
The actions were banned for 1 day within the entire provincial borders, including the city centers and districts, in Bitlis from 00:01 to 23:59 on October 12, in Siirt from 00:01 to 23:59 on October 12, in Diyarbakır from 00:01 to 23:59 on October 12, and in Ağrı from 00:01 to 23:59 on Thursday, October 12.
Following these bans, a total of 7 provinces, including Bingöl, Tunceli, Hakkâri, Bitlis, Ağrı, Siirt, and Diyarbakır, are now under protest bans.
