Gözdem Ongun development in IMM investigation: House arrest lifted

The house arrest judicial control measure imposed on Cem Çelik, Güngör Gürman, Mehmet Şahin, Yılmaz Doğan, Zeynep Ayten Gözdem Ongun, and Hüsnü Yüksel Tunarhas been lifted.

The IMM indictment was prepared as part of the investigationconducted by theIstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In the indictment, Istanbul MMetropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is among those detained in the 'Corruption' investigation indictment, which includes İmamoğlu and 402 suspects, 105 of whom are in custody.In the indictment, the phrase "founder and leader of the organization" was used for İmamoğlu,and it was requested that he be punished for 142 separate crimes. The case is ongoing.With the preliminary reportprepared, the court did not make any changesregarding anyone's detention or judicialcontrol status.

Today, the courtreached an interim decisionas a result of its review of the file. According to the decision taken,Cem Çelik, Güngör Gürman, Mehmet Şahin, Yılmaz Doğan, Zeynep Ayten Gözdem Ongun, and Hüsnü Yüksel Tunar’s house arrest decision was lifted, and it was decided that these individuals would be subject to a judicial control measure requiring them to sign in once aweek. The judicial control measure was implemented accordingly.
