Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will pay an official visit to Turkey. In a written statement issued by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, it was stated that Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will pay a working visit to Turkey on May 13, in response to an invitation from President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

It was noted that during the talks to be held during the visit, bilateral relations between Turkey and Greece will be reviewed in their various dimensions, and steps that can be taken to improve cooperation will be discussed.

While it is expected that views will be exchanged on current regional and global issues in addition to bilateral relations, it was stated that the signing of agreements that will contribute to the legal framework of the relations is also on the agenda.

MITSOTAKIS: THE PURPOSE OF THE VISIT IS TO SUSTAIN THE RAPPROCHEMENT

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis made assessments regarding the agenda in an interview with the newspaper Eleftheros Tipos.

Pointing out that cooperation in many areas of bilateral relations is progressing, Mitsotakis stated that the purpose of his visit to Ankara tomorrow to meet with Erdoğan is to ensure the continuation of this mutually beneficial rapprochement process.

Mitsotakis expressed that there are goals such as doubling the trade volume between the two countries within the next 5 years and deepening cooperation in areas such as health and combating natural disasters.
