A Greek tourist named Apostolos Papathedorou shared a photo on his social media account in which he unfurled a Greek flag with Hagia Sophia in the frame in front of Sultanahmet Square.
The Greek tourist added the following note to the photo he had taken while unfurling the Greek flag inside Hagia Sophia:
"My beloved city, Greek forever."
These images, which appeared on social media, drew backlash.
