Greeks harass Turkish fishing boat
Fisherman İlker Özdemir, who previously stood up to Greek Coast Guard units in the Gökçeada district of Çanakkale, was harassed by the Greek Coast Guard while fishing in international waters near the Zürafa rocks. The Greek Coast Guard departed the area after a Turkish Coast Guard boat arrived on the scene.
Fisherman İlker Özdemir, who set sail to fish at the Zürafa rocks between Gökçeada and Samothrace Island, was subjected to harassment by the Greek Coast Guard despite being in international waters.
The moments when the Greek boat circled rapidly around Özdemir's vessel, which was proceeding without deviating from its course, were recorded moment by moment by the crew. Fisherman İlker Özdemir shared those moments on his social media account.

In the footage he recorded, İlker Özdemir said: "They have sent a large, armed ship. There is nothing to be done; we are struggling.

We are fishing in the Zürafa rocks area, we are in the same places again. They do not give up on doing this, and we will not give up either. Our boat is made of sheet metal, it is more reliable, they know that too. They passed very close."

Meanwhile, the Greek Coast Guard departed the area after seeing the Turkish Coast Guard boat that arrived in the region a short while later.
