Gülistan's mother Bedriye Doku cries out in front of the courthouse: Believe me, my daughter's bones have been burned

In the investigation into the disappearance of Munzur University Child Development Department sophomore student Gülistan Doku, who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, operations were carried out in 7 provinces, and 13 suspects were detained.

A total of 10 people were arrested as part of the investigation, while judicial control measures were imposed on 3 others.

The latest person to be arrested was Mustafa Türkay Sonel, the son of the then-Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel.

Following the arrest, mother Bedriye Doku made statements.

Waiting in front of the courthouse, Bedriye Doku said, "My daughter is Turkey's daughter. Let justice be served. If justice is not served, there will be no end to this. I hope justice is served.

I hope prosecutors like prosecutor Ebru emerge. First and foremost, I thank prosecutor Ebru and everyone who has a conscience.

There is nothing left of my daughter's body. Believe me, my daughter's bones have been burned. This is my estimation.

I wish my daughter had a grave so I could perhaps recite a Fatiha.

I will entrust this to the state and justice. I believe in justice. Let them give a life sentence or the death penalty.

From now on, let no one dare to harm the state, families, women, or students," she said.
