Gürsel Tekin announces 'We are coming': 'Our past actions are the guarantee of our future ones'

The 2023 congress of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul Provincial Presidency was canceled by a court decision. While CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik and his administration were removed from office, Gürsel Tekin was appointed as the trustee.

Gürsel Tekin, against whom an expulsion process has been initiated and whose defense has been requested within the CHP, made a new statement on his social media account.

"We are the true members of the Republican People's Party" said Tekin, adding, "We are not coming to create problems, but to solve existing ones and to embrace our brothers and sisters."

The full text of Tekin's post is as follows:
