Gürsel Tekin, appointed as trustee, had used the term 'rotten' for İmamoğlu

By court order, the Istanbul Provincial Congress was annulled, and Provincial President Özgür Çelik and his administration were removed from office. Gürsel Tekin has been appointed as trustee to replace Çelik.

Gürsel Tekin is a politician who has previously served as CHP Istanbul provincial president and CHP Secretary General. Tekin, who has been at the center of debates within the party recently, had made headlines with his remarks before the local elections. Tekin had harshly criticized Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, using the term "rotten" and declaring that he would not vote for him.
