Gürsel Tekin's tenure terminated: He had been appointed as a trustee
The tenure of Gürsel Tekin and his committee, who were appointed as trustees to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency, has been terminated by the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance.
As part of an investigation launched into the CHP İstanbul Provincial Congress, the elected Provincial President Özgür Çelik and his administration had been removed from office by the court.
The court had appointed Gürsel Tekin and his associates to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency as trustees under the name of a "call committee" to replace Çelik and his administration.
GÜRSEL TEKİN'S TENURE TERMINATED
The trusteeship of Gürsel Tekin, which caused significant controversy within the party throughout the process, has ended with a decision taken by the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance.
The decision included the following statements:
"The measures decided to be implemented by our court's interim decision dated 02/09/2025 are hereby lifted,
A copy of the decision shall be sent to the Istanbul Provincial Election Board, the Sarıyer 1st District Election Board, and the Istanbul Governorship,
This interim decision shall be served to the parties,
Decided accordingly; following an examination of the file in the absence of the parties."
