Gürsel Tekin, who said he would not reject the trustee decision, had spoken differently to 12punto: It is out of the question

The CHP Istanbul Provincial Administration was removed from office by a court decision. Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to serve as the Provincial President, announced that he would accept the position. In his first post, Tekin said, "When it comes to the CHP, the rest is detail."

A decision has been reached in the lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the CHP Provincial Congress held in Istanbul on October 8, 2023.

The court decided to remove Provincial President Özgür Çelik and the current administration from office. The decision was made by the 45th Civil Court of First Instance.

GÜRSEL TEKİN APPOINTED AS TRUSTEE

Gürsel Tekin was temporarily appointed to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency.

Zeki Şen, Hasan Babacan, Müjdat Gürbüz, and Erkan Narsap were brought into the administration.

TEKİN HAS MADE HIS DECISION: HE WILL ACCEPT!

Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency, told journalist Alişer Delek, "Four former district presidents and I have been appointed. We will serve as the elder statesmen of the party. I am the host in the CHP. Our goal is to save the party from courthouse corridors and arenas of conflict and to carry it to power. We will determine the process and what we will do in a short time."

HE HAD REACTED TO THE TRUSTEE IDEA IN AN INTERVIEW WITH 12PUNTO

Gürsel Tekin, who said he would comply with the court's trustee decision, had evaluated the claims made about him by Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı in March that 'a trustee will be appointed to the CHP' to Hazal Güven from 12punto and had denied them in no uncertain terms.

Tekin, who was seen to have made a complete reversal of his decision just a few months later, had used the following expressions:

"No Republican People's Party member would accept this. More precisely, it is impossible for a trustee to be appointed to a political party that founded the state."
