Hablemitoğlu assassination trial adjourned to July 16

The trial of 10 defendants, including Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) leader Fetullah Gülen and retired colonel Levent Göktaş, regarding the murder of Ankara University faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Necip Hablemitoğlu in front of his home in Çankaya on December 18, 2002, will continue on July 16.

At today's session of the trial held at the Ankara 28th High Criminal Court, the only jailed defendant, Nuri Gökhan Bozkır, and non-custodial defendants Levent Göktaş, Fikret Emek, Ahmet Tarkan Mumcuoğlu, Aydın Köstem, and Mehmet Narin, along with their lawyers, were present. Enver Altaylı, who is convicted in another case, attended the hearing from prison via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS).

During today's session, the statements and requests of the defendants and their lawyers regarding the documents added to the case file and the witnesses heard were recorded.

Subsequently, the court announced its interim decision, ruling for the continuation of defendant Bozkır's detention and adjourning the trial to July 16.
