Hacı Yakışıklı claims 'new party' in the works: MPs close to Özgür Özel preparing to resign
Although Özgür Özel states at every opportunity that he has no plans for a new party, claims of a 'new party' continue to be voiced, particularly by figures close to the government. This time, a different 'new party scenario' has come from journalist Hacı Yakışıklı.
Yakışıklı alleged that some MPs close to Özgür Özel are considering resignation.
Hacı Yakışıklı claimed that a third group is forming within the party and that a new political entity could emerge at the end of the process.
Voicing his claims on tv100, Yakışıklı said, "I spoke with MPs close to Özgür Özel who also attended the meeting in parliament," and used the following expressions:
"The criticism of Özgür Özel is this: You cannot move forward by constantly issuing ultimatums. I could even give names, but they are names known to the public, let me say that too.
The criticism of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is this: Kılıçdaroğlu talks about purification, but he should start the purification with names close to himself.
There are currently 3 paths formed within the CHP. Those close to Mr. Kemal, those close to Mr. Özgür, and the 3rd path. There are 6-7 of them.
6 to 7 MPs among them are currently preparing to resign. In other words, even though they are close to Özgür Özel, they are considering resigning from his CHP due to the current position."
