ÖZDAĞ MADE THE OFFER

Saying that Özdağ offered him to engage in politics together, Hakan Atilla stated, "I am not aspiring to a position, but if I am to engage in politics and if a duty is assigned, I will fulfill its requirements."

"IT IS FATE"

When asked whether he would make an announcement regarding his participation in the Victory Party at the party congress, he replied, "It is fate."

WHO IS HAKAN ATİLLA?

The name Hakan Atilla primarily came to the public agenda following his arrest in the United States due to the Halkbank case. While serving as the Deputy General Manager of Halkbank, Atilla was arrested in March 2017 during a visit to the U.S. on charges of conspiring with Rıza Sarraf to evade U.S. sanctions on Iran and money laundering. Sentenced to 32 months, Atilla was released after 28 months of detention and returned to Turkey on July 24, 2019.
