Hamas leader Haniyeh issues statement after Israeli attack: 'We will not surrender'
Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh stated that the Palestinian people will not surrender and that resistance forces will continue to defend Palestinian rights against Israel, following intense Israeli attacks on the Nuseirat Refugee Camp.
Hamas leader Haniyeh issued a statement on Hamas's Telegram account regarding the killing of at least 40 people in attacks carried out by the Israeli army on the Nuseirat Refugee Camp and various other areas in the central Gaza Strip.
The Hamas leader emphasized that Israel continues its massacres against Palestinian children and women in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp and Deir al-Balah.
Noting that the world describes Israel as a "child killer" but has been unable to put an end to the "war of extermination" to which the Palestinian people are being subjected, Haniyeh stated, "Our people will not surrender, and the resistance will continue to defend our rights in the face of this brutal enemy."
Stating that "If Israel believes it can force its choices upon the Palestinians, it must understand that this is a delusion," Haniyeh pointed out that Hamas will not accept any agreement that does not ensure the security of the Palestinian people.
Haniyeh stated that Israel has failed militarily and is at its "lowest level" politically and morally, adding that the world must now take action.
The Hamas leader emphasized that "all peoples of the Islamic Ummah and the free peoples of the world must rise up against the brutal massacres committed by Israel and the deaths of dozens of civilians."
