Hamas leader Haniyeh's statement on negotiations: 'They are two parallel lines'
Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh made assessments regarding Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip and the expected ceasefire process for the month of Ramadan. Haniyeh stated, "The field and the negotiations are two parallel lines."
Hamas leader Haniyeh stated in a written statement that while US President Joe Biden's stance has changed in rhetoric, it is being tested in practice, and emphasized that more effort must be exerted to end the genocide and starvation policy to which the people of Gaza are being subjected.
Touching upon the negotiations conducted with Israel, Ismail Haniyeh remarked, "The field and the negotiations are two parallel lines. Hamas is focusing on the genius and greatness of the resistance in the negotiations and is striving with all its might to stop the attacks on the Palestinian people."
Haniyeh also noted that there is an opportunity to reach a multi-stage agreement if Israel abandons its intransigence.
