Harsh police intervention against teachers. Many detained

The Education and Science Workers' Union (Eğitim-Sen) wanted to march from the Ministry of National Education to the Parliament to protest the Teaching Profession Law Proposal, which has begun to be discussed in the General Assembly. Making a statement in front of the Ministry of National Education to protest the Teaching Profession Law Proposal, Eğitim-Sen Chairman Kemal Irmak said, "We are here, we are not leaving." During the march of the Eğitim-Sen teachers, the police frequently issued warnings to disperse. The teachers, who continued their protest, faced police intervention.

11 teachers were detained. After the police intervention, Eğitim-Sen members who gathered at the National Sovereignty Park located next to the Parliament announced that they would keep watch in the park until the 11 detained individuals are released.
