It has been reported that the access issues experienced in the Istanbul region were resolved starting from the early hours of Friday. Users in Istanbul began logging back into social media platforms starting from the night hours.
Access issues had been experienced on the internet and social media, primarily on Instagram, Twitter (X), WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. During the access problems that lasted for 2 days, users reported that they could not log into the applications and that the feeds were not refreshing. There were still issues accessing social media and messaging applications in Istanbul.
THERE WAS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH WHATSAPP
On the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, users also reported serious disruptions in operations such as feed refreshing, posting tweets, and sending messages.
Similarly, feeds could not be refreshed on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. WhatsApp users in Istanbul also reported that messages were being delayed and that they could not send or receive videos or photos.
ACCESS ISSUE ENDED DURING THE NIGHT HOURS
The access issue experienced on social media, particularly in the Istanbul region, ended in the early hours of Friday, March 21. Users began to be able to use social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter (X), WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube again starting from the night hours.
