On November 6, Yusufeli District Governor Hacı Kerim Meral, who went to a restaurant with 2 guests, ordered doner and then rice pudding from the waiter. After eating the doner and then the dessert and drinking tea with his guests, District Governor Meral got up from the table and headed to the cash register.

Telling the business owner Ferhat Kodat, who was standing at the register, that he did not like the doner and the dessert, District Governor Meral left the restaurant without paying the bill. These moments that took place in the restaurant were leaked to the press after being reflected on security cameras. An investigation had been launched against him following the footage.

With the intervention of the Ministry of Interior, the district governor, against whom an investigation was launched, had his post changed.

He was appointed to Erzurum with the decree published in the Official Gazette.

Meral will continue his duty in the Karaçoban district of Erzurum, which has an altitude of 1,550 meters.
