He had been released: First statement from Narin Güran's father, Arif Güran!

Arif Güran, the father who was detained as part of the investigation into the brutal murder of Narin Güran in Diyarbakır and released yesterday (September 12), has broken his silence.

"MY FIRST STATEMENT AND MY LAST STATEMENT ARE THE SAME"

In his first statement, Güran said, "Let the perpetrator pay the price."

"We have said it since the first day; the state is already here. My wish was for my daughter to be alive. Even finding her dead... At least now my daughter has a grave... There is already a confidentiality order regarding this investigation. The state is doing more than its best. With God's permission, whoever it is, whoever has been caught, whoever has been arrested, the state will inevitably uncover this. My first statement to the prosecutor and my last statement are the same.

"I BELIEVE JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED"

I don't know anything either. No one is telling me anything. I am learning from you as well. If there is anything I suspect, I have shared it with the gendarmerie. I believe justice will be served.

When reminded of the detention process, father Arif Güran said, "We were guests, it was not a detention," and continued as follows:

"Whoever did this, the state will uncover it. I am hearing everything from you, I cannot even grieve for my daughter.”

Stating that "our gendarmerie has done its best and continues to do so," Güran pointed out that the process is not over and the investigation is ongoing.

"DO NOT PROFIT FROM MY DAUGHTER"

Father Güran continued:

“People we don't know are coming to my daughter's grave and taking photos; they should not profit from my daughter.”
