He had called for a 25 percent raise for minimum wage earners: It turns out the MÜSİAD President imposed an exorbitant rent hike on his villa

MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı has become a subject of debate following his statement regarding the upcoming minimum wage hike.

Asmalı had demanded a lower rate of increase for workers, stating, "The minimum wage hike should not exceed 25 percent." However, the price hike Asmalı applied to his own villas has sparked controversy.

'HE IMPOSED A 55 PERCENT HIKE ON HIS OWN VILLAS'

Journalist Cüneyt Özdemir made a striking claim about MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı on his YouTube channel. Stating that Asmalı had increased the price of his villas, which he had offered for sale at 29 million TL last year, to 45 million TL this year, Özdemir said, "He imposed a 55 percent hike in one year. While he applies such a large increase to his own villas, he wants a 25 percent raise for the workers."

Özdemir's remarks brought to light the contradiction in Asmalı's previous statements. The fact that Asmalı proposed a low raise rate for workers while implementing a massive price increase on his own investments has been widely discussed on social media.
