It has emerged that Vesim Şimşek, who took his four children to an olive grove in İzmir and opened fire, killing three of them, had bought them meatballs in bread and taken a photo of them just two days before the incident.
While the cycle of violence in Turkey continues to grow with each passing day, Vesim Şimşek, who was in the process of getting a divorce, killed his daughters Nira (14), Cemre (4), and Ceylin (2).
He also critically wounded 11-year-old Hiranur.
Vesim Şimşek, who took his children to an olive grove and opened fire on them, subsequently attempted suicide. It was stated that Şimşek had told his wife, from whom he was in the process of divorcing, "You are going to hear about a major event."

According to a report by DHA; the story behind that photo of Vesim Şimşek's daughters eating together side-by-side has also emerged.
It was stated that the children loved meatballs in bread, and that two days before the incident, Şimşek had bought them meatballs in bread, brought them home, and then had them pose for a souvenir photo.
