A comprehensive reshuffle in the police force was carried out with appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette. While the police chiefs of 37 provinces were changed, 22 chiefs were reassigned to the central organization.

According to Sözcü, within the scope of this decision, Tunceli Police Chief Hakan Duman, who was in office during the march and commemoration program held in Tunceli last May for the so-called PKK terrorist organization leaders Ali Haydar Kaytan and Rıza Altun, has also been reassigned to headquarters.

Duman's removal from his post comes approximately five months after Tunceli Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, who had opposed the commemoration of the terrorists, was reassigned to headquarters. Following the decision, Tekbıyıkoğlu shared the following message on his social media account:
