He had said 'There are things we know but shouldn't say': Photo of AKP's Ensarioğlu with Uncle Salim Güran emerges
A striking photograph has emerged involving AK Party Diyarbakır MP Galip Ensarioğlu, who sparked controversy with his statement regarding the Narin Güran murder: "There are things we sometimes don't know, and sometimes things we know but shouldn't say. Because the family are our friends."
The investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, continues. The first person arrested in the Güran investigation was her uncle, Salim Güran. Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed in the case, had alleged that Salim Güran gave him Narin's lifeless body.
After Narin's body was found, AKP member Galip Ensarioğlu, speaking on a television program, had said, "There are things we sometimes don't know, and sometimes things we know but shouldn't say, because the family are our friends."
'MY WORDS ARE BEING DISTORTED'
While Ensarioğlu faced backlash for his remarks, he claimed that his words were being distorted.
A photograph has emerged showing Uncle Güran and Ensarioğlu drinking tea in the ruling party lobby at the Parliament. In the photo in question, taken on December 27, 2023, two other people are present alongside Güran and Ensarioğlu.
