Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın attacked IYI Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu, who had criticized the new opening process, in a post on his X account yesterday (July 13).

Yalçın targeted Dervişoğlu with the words, "The head of the IP, Müsavat Dervişoğlu, has spoken of the zakat of his so-called nationalism. Nationalism is forbidden to those who sell out their cause and party like him. Therefore, there is no zakat for what is forbidden and for treason. From Dervişoğlu's lips flows the political stupidity that has accumulated in the mouths of colonial-type intellectuals over several centuries."

The response to these words from Yalçın did not take long from the IYI Party front. IYI Party Denizli MP Yasin Öztürk made headlines with his response to Yalçın.

Öztürk said, "You are not a man worth writing about at length, mind your own business 'ApoooCCCuuu'." Öztürk's use of the term 'Apocu' (a derogatory term implying sympathy for Abdullah Öcalan) and his incorporation of the 'CCC' symbol used by Idealists (Ülkücüler) drew attention.
