He insulted the Quran and sexually abused his own daughter: Ali Yerlikaya announces arrest
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the individual alleged to have insulted the Quran and sexually abused his own daughter and other children has been apprehended by security forces. Judicial proceedings against the suspect have been initiated.
Minister Yerlikaya announced that the suspect was apprehended and delivered to justice following a rapid intervention regarding the incident that drew public outrage.
In a statement on his X account, Minister Yerlikaya noted that footage had appeared on social media of an individual displaying behavior containing severe insults toward the Quran, the holy book of Muslims, and confessing to sexually abusing his own 9-year-old daughter and children in public parks.
Stating that an investigation was launched by the Cyber Crimes Department following the footage, Yerlikaya noted that the suspect, identified as Y.T.N., was apprehended in Ankara.
Yerlikaya emphasized that they will continue to deliver those who threaten the peace and security of society to justice.
INTERIOR MINISTER YERLIKAYA MADE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:
Footage has appeared on social media of an individual displaying behavior containing severe insults toward our holy book and confessing to sexually abusing his own 9-year-old daughter and children in public parks.
Following the footage, an investigation was launched by our Cyber Crimes Department. During the investigation, the individual was identified as Y.T.N. and was apprehended in Ankara.
We will continue to deliver those who threaten the peace and security of our society to justice.
