A person who kicked a kitten to death in the Of district of Trabzon has been arrested for "violating the animal protection law."
A suspect accused of kicking a kitten to death in the Of district of Trabzon has been arrested.
In the district's İrfanlı Neighborhood, 23-year-old H.K. was recorded on a citizen's mobile phone repeatedly kicking a kitten that was wandering around an electrical transformer in a vacant lot.
Following the circulation of the footage on social media, the Of Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation.
The suspect, who was taken into custody by police teams, was referred to the courthouse after processing at the police station.
The suspect, H.K., was arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace on charges of "violating the animal protection law."
The mobile phone footage shows the suspect walking away after kicking the kitten and waiting for a while by a retaining wall, before returning to check on the animal and throwing it into the grass upon realizing it was dead.
